Executive Director

 

Jennifer holds a BA in Fine Arts and Political Science from Cedar Crest College, an MFA in painting from the Savannah College of Artand Design, and a BA in Sustainable Agriculture from the Wendell Berry Farming Program of Sterling College.  She has over 20 years of experience teaching fine art at various universities and previously served as Executive Director of a nonprofit organization dedicated to land conservation.  Having transitioned to become and Extension Agent in Jefferson County, Jennifer resides on her farm in Shelby County, where she grows vegetables and flowers and rescues animals in her free time.  Passionate about community engagement and fostering resilient local food systems, she brings a unique blend of artistic insight, nonprofit leadership experience and sustainable agriculture expertise to her work with communities.

Jimmy Earley

Program Director

Jimmy grew up in Central Kentucky and before becoming Glean Kentucky’s Program Director, spent time as an Owner and Production Coordinator of a Fair Trade coffee roasting cooperative in Madison, WI, General Manager of a farmer-owned local food distributor here in Kentucky, Farm-To-Kitchen Coordinator for FoodChain and Glean Kentucky, and then went on to become Central Kentucky Field Coordinator for Glean Kentucky.  On any given evening, Jimmy can be found spending time with his sweetheart and their lovely toddler cuddle monster, turning knobs on synthesizers, strumming guitars, treating drums poorly or being the oldest person at the skate park.

Meghan Kontic

North Central Kentucky Field Coordinator

Meghan is a recent graduate from Bellarmine University, where she spent time interning on the farm and participating in service-related trips to assist food insecure populations in West Virginia and Washington, DC. Meghan is excited to continue learning about food systems in North Central Kentucky to best serve the community. In her freetime, Meghan enjoys hiking, photography, and relaxing in nature.
