Ben joined Glean Kentucky’s staff in the spring of 2016, working first as the organization’s Development Director before moving into his current role as Program Director in 2018, and then becoming Executive Director in 2022. In his free time, Ben enjoys reading, playing disc golf, and serves on the Board of Directors at Good Foods Co-Op in Lexington. As a graduate of the University of Kentucky’s Arts Administration program, and having spent portions of his life working for a produce farm, Ben is grateful to work in a way that combines his love for food, agriculture, and nonprofit work.

Kelsey has been actively engaged in the Kentucky food system for almost a decade. They have worked on several small-scale diversified vegetable farms in Oldham and Henry counties, including actively running their own regenerative vegetable, flower, and grain farm, Sun Beet Farm. As the Organizing Director of Community Farm Alliance for four years, they coordinated state and federal agriculture policy efforts, advocating with Kentucky farmers and eaters for policy that protects small farms and promotes local food access. They have organized with several grassroots food justice groups to combat food apartheid in Louisville including the Louisville Community Grocery and New Roots. Kelsey is invested in a more just and sustainable food system and land management especially in the face of climate change. Please contact email@example.com if you’re interested in getting involved in gleaning efforts in Oldham and surrounding counties.
