Susie Basham was on the original advisory board of Faith Feeds in her capacity of liaison with God’s Pantry Food Bank. She is part of the Food Bank’s development team, serving as Event Coordinator. Susie has served in many volunteer leadership positions including President of the Paul Laurence Dunbar Band Parent Association, Executive Committee of the Bluegrass Phi Mu alumnae chapter and many positions on local and district PTA groups. Because of her involvement with the Lexington Rotary club during the recent WEG games, she was selected as a Paul Harris Fellow.
“I am blessed to be brought up in a family that believes leadership starts with servanthood”, said Susie, “helping others is not just a good idea, but a way of life”.
Susie is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Mass Communications. She has been married to Kenny Basham for 24 years. They have 2 children in college. Faith Feeds is very pleased that Susie joined the board in September 2012 and look forward to working with her to help ease the pain of hunger in our community through gleaning.
