Are you curious what gleaning is all about? Come to one of our upcoming volunteer trainings in Lexington to learn more about how you can help prevent food waste and fight hunger in our community. Simply put, gleaning and food redistribution depend on passionate volunteers who are willing to do the dirty work of rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste. It’s not glamorous. It can even smell weird sometimes. But it’s so so so important! These trainings will take less than an hour, and there’s no commitment. Just come and see if gleaning is something for you.

Fayette County volunteer trainings will take place at the Plantory (501 W 6th St, Suite 250, Lexington, KY – at the corner of W 6th and Jefferson) on the following dates:

October 13 at 9:30am

October 26 at 5:00pm

November 14 at 11am
