1 in 5 children in America are hungry – that is also true in Fayette County and Kentucky

Help your child help children in need

gleaning apples at RVO

Orchard gleaning is a great opportunity for families with young children – help teach our next generation how to make a difference!

Our gleaning partner, Reed Valley Orchard, welcomes our groups to the orchard Monday and Friday mornings.  We meet at the orchard at 9 a.m. and glean windfall fruits on a safe, beautiful, country hillside in Paris, KY, about 45 minutes from Lexington.

Many fruits fall from the trees and are in perfect condition; instead of letting them lay to rot, Faith Feed volunteer gleaners collect apples and pears for distribution to those struggling with hunger through hunger ministries, food agencies and neighborhood ambassadors.

If you can help harvest for the hungry, please contact Sarah at sarah.mchaffie@faithfeedslex.org
