The second quarter of 2024 was a busy one!  In addition to our gleaning activities, we’ve been spending time in the community, raising awareness for what we do.  On April 12th, Jerilyn attended the ribbon cutting for Realtors Hope for Hunger.  She spent some time chatting with Charles Dennis, the Executive Director at our partner Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland.  After hearing about an upcoming food box packing opportunity, Jerilyn headed to help and support the good work being done by this group.

On April 29th, Glean Kentucky was featured on WNKY News 40 Sunrise!   As always, we need volunteers for upcoming fun events and WNKY came through helping us spread the word.

On April 30th we attended the Community Foundation Grant press conference as a recipient.  It was an honor to be among so many important non-profit funding recipients in one room.  Funding is crucial to the work we do and we appreciate the support we’ve received from the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky.

May 16th was a long-awaited day!  Jerilyn had the honor to participate in Leadership Bowling Green from September 2023 to this graduation day.  It was a lovely ceremony, with dinner and awards.  Thank you to the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce for this wonderful opportunity!
