It is that time of year! Apples! 
Faith Feed volunteers glean from Reed Valley Orchard each week. Owners, Trudie and Dana generously donate fruits to Faith Feeds and accomodate our gleaning volunteers. Their website list many fun events, hightlights from their bakery and store and information on student tours. They are very connected with their community and their donations are accepted with much gratitude.
Faith Feed volunteers glean on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday in the morning to accomodate the orchard business. As the apple season progresses, we expect gleaning to increase with possibly 2 days per week needed. 
Here is the routine: The gleaners leave from Mary Powell’s house at 8:30 a.m. and the gleaning trip takes 3 – 3.5 hours depending on number of gleaners. Reed Valley Orchard is located about 45 minutes away in Paris, KY.
