GleanKY is excited to announce a new team member joining as our Development Coordinator. Rachel Rubino will be serving through the AmeriCorp VISTA program in year ahead. With her efforts we will be able to expand our mission to serve more Kentuckians. Read on for more details on Rachel’s background:
Rachel Rubino joins GleanKY with a background in the hospitality industry. Working within the local food scene encouraged her to explore the connection between food, community, and place. Discovering a passion for building community, Rachel volunteered in a variety of local non-profits before recognizing the kinship with the GleanKY mission and foundational values. Having served on the board of the Lexington Heritage Festival for six years, Rachel brings extensive fundraising and event planning experience to her new role as Development Coordinator. A graduate of University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in English, she resides in Lexington with her husband, John, and two rescue dogs, Bianca & Noodle.
