Isaiah Smith has joined the GleanKY team through Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s Summer Youth Job Training Program. Isaiah will be serving as our Marketing Assistant and brings tremendous energy and determination to our team. We are grateful for the opportunity to get to know him and think you will be, too!
I just graduated from Lexington Tradition Magnet School and will be going to STEAM Academy in the fall.
Science. I’m looking forward to taking Biology in high school.
I want to help people. I’m thinking about being a Doctor in an emergency room.
I like the culture, our accent, and the pride we have for our state. I like how our voice is heard.
I like how you help the hungry. I just learned how much food waste there is and it’s a lot! I think that we can make a difference in Kentucky and maybe in the whole world.
Art, building legos, and cooking. My mom taught me how to cook but my favorite dish to make is one I made up! It has potatoes, Italian sausage, and asparagus in it.
Yes … dancing!
Spaghetti with meatballs and parmesan cheese.
Apples! I love cinnamon apples and homemade apple juice.
I am a hard worker. I won the George Washington Carver Award for showing passion and determination through science. I had a 3.5 GPA all year and was nominated for the Student of the Year award.
I also have 4 disorders. This has taught me that I am special in my own way. I try to be a role model for others and I care for my family and friends. I always have a smile on my face.
