On the evening of October 22nd at 7:00pm, GleanKY is hosting a free movie screening of the documentary Just Eat It at the Lexington Public Library’s Farish Theater. The documentary was directed and produced by a Canadian couple determined to understand the realities of North American food waste. To do this, the couple embark on an epic one-year adventure to survive solely on food waste in order to highlight the incredible 40% of food waste that is never consumed and often ends up in a landfill. We understand very well the issues of food waste in Lexington and Kentucky. We could not be happier to present this highly relevant documentary on a very critical issue. The movie screening is free but donations are greatly appreciated. GleanKY’s staff will follow the movie with a short Q&A session.
