This Saturday, July 16th Faith Feeds will be exhibiting at the Field to Fork Festival at Halcomb’s Knob Farm just 6 miles from I-75 just outside Berea in Paint Lick.   The owners of the farm strive to provide a variety activities to the community at-large. The Field to Fork Festival is a celebration of the diversity of locally produced food and farm products and education about the skills and resources needed to sustain eco-communities.

The festival will run from 9am to 6pm and features three activity areas, including Tastes of Kentucky; Harvest Specials Farmers’ Market; and Sustainable Edible Workshops.

  • Tastes of Kentucky, taste fabulous bites made with the
    freshest ingredients by area chefs, and browse more than 25 agricultural retail
    vendors and trade exhibitors;
  • Harvest Specials Farmers’ Market, take home fresh, flavorful
    produce, meats, and other locally grown Kentucky Proudproducts; and
  • Sustainable Edible Workshops, learn from regional producers
    and experts about eco-gardening and small-scale farming through attendance at 24 free concurrent workshop demonstrations

John Walker, Vice President of Faith Feeds and coodinator of the Edible Garden Series will present Soil Block your Seeds at 1:30 pm.

UPDATE – July 16th:

It was a very interesting day at the festival.  We spoke to many people who began thinking about ways to start a Faith Feeds in their community.
