GleanKY has experienced tremendous growth in its 5 years of existence due to our many generous donors and volunteers. Word has spread, and people around the commonwealth have taken an interest in bringing GleanKY’s work to their county.  In 2014, gleaning began in Scott County, Franklin County, and Woodford County, and over 10,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables were shared with those county’s food insecure. In 2015, Madison County was added to this list. Beginning just two weeks ago, a dedicated group of gleaners have collected over 400 pounds of produce in Berea and Richmond for those in their community.

With a little training, these counties have begun the journey to become official GleanKY Chapters! This is proof that GleanKY really can glean Kentucky with folks like you behind us.
