The clouds parted and a great time was had by all. This year’s Burgers & Beats fundraiser was a wonderful success filled with sunshine, jazz music, ice cream, and great conversation.
Highlights included:
- Delicious burgers prepared by Chef Ouita Michel and her crew at Wallace Station.
- Jazz music from Quintessence, a lovely local band.
- Heavenly ice cream scooped fresh by Crank & Boom.
- Games and activities hosted by Greenhouse 17, Seedleaf, and The Nest.
- A waste-free event thanks to Seedleaf’s composting efforts.
- A fantastic emcee in Sean Moody and a wonderful guest speaker in Justin Barringer.
- Overwhelming support from our generous sponsors.
Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday evening for Burgers & Beats! The GleanKY board members and staff had a wonderful time with you, and we deeply appreciate your support for our work to reduce hunger and food waste in Kentucky. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!
