It’s an exciting time to be a part of Glean Kentucky.  We are getting off to a quick start in Bowling Green thanks to the efforts of our South Central Kentucky Field Coordinator, Elaine Losekamp.  As we work to secure funding for similar positions in other parts of the state, we are also attempting to expand our presence in Central Kentucky beyond what our staff, our volunteers and our community partners have already built.

With that in mind, we are looking to forge new connections in Bourbon, Clark, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison and Woodford counties.  Though we already have a few connections in each of these counties, we need to make more in order to increase our capacity.

We need potential volunteers who are committed to working on Hunger, Food Waste and Food Justice related issues, connections to Food Producers who might be interested in contributing produce, and introductions to / information about organizations that are actively distributing food to people in need in these counties.  While we have several relationships in all of these locations, we need more!

Any help that you can give us would be greatly appreciated!  Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any ideas that you might have about potential partnerships in these counties!
