2023 was a big year for our South Central Kentucky program! Our team grew with the addition of a part-time staff member, we expanded our network of recipient agencies across county lines to include a new partner in Scottsville, and we celebrated three years of gleaning in the area with our first big event, Glean Fest. Moreover, we connected with the community at many events across Warren and Allen County and were finalists for the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky’s Women’s Fund Grant. And, of course, we also gleaned a LOT of fruits and vegetables.
We worked hard last year, but we couldn’t have done it without all of our wonderful volunteers, food donors, community partners, and supporters. We are so appreciative of the Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky and United Way of Southern Kentucky for supporting our work!
We are excited for another great year of gathering excess produce, connecting with individuals and organizations doing great work in South Central Kentucky, and nourishing our neighbors.
