2017 Volunteer Training Dates!

Do you want to become a gleaner? In order to accomplish GleanKY’s mission of preventing food waste and nourishing Kentuckians, we rely on the help of our dedicated volunteer base—people like you! This year, we’ll be holding nine volunteer trainings in eight different counties to help expand the reach of our work.
Volunteer Training Schedule
AUG. 28 at 10am – BOURBON CO.
Paris-Bourbon County Public Library
(701 High St., Paris)
AUG. 31 at 5:30pm – WOODFORD CO.
Woodford County Library
(115 N Main St., Versailles)
SEP. 28 at 5:30pm – JESSAMINE CO.
Jessamine County Public Library
(600 S. Main St., Nicholasville)
OCT. 26 at 5:30pm – FAYETTE CO.
(501 W. 6th St., Suite 250, Lexington)
All trainings will last an hour and include:
- an introduction to our staff and county coordinators
- how our gleaning model works
- ways you can plug in
- how to sign up to volunteer
Anyone who signs up for a gleaning slot at the time of the training will receive their free GleanKY shirt. If you sign up at another time, you’ll receive your shirt during your on-site orientation.
